Tips and Disclosure

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW. . . before you go on tour

The self-guided tour format allows you the freedom to see the green features you want and spend as much time as you need learning from the owners and experts. 

Ask questions!

Tour hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please do not visit the sites before or after the designated tour hours.

Be a good guest – please be respectful and remember to thank your tour hosts!

Do:

• Remove shoes upon entering each home or wear provided shoe booties.
• Stay within designated areas and avoid “Off Limits” rooms or areas.
• Supervise children closely (no strollers please).
• Ask Tour Hosts before taking photos.

Do Not:

• Wear fragrances and scented products for the health and comfort of tour participants and hosts.
• Bring pets.
• Block driveways or double park.
• Use private bathrooms.
• Touch or handle items in the home.
• Smoke, eat, or drink inside the homes.

Ojai Valley Green Coalition Green Home & Building Tour and Home Show is a tour of private homes and commercial space. The Tour and its organizers and sponsors are not responsible for the upkeep or maintenance of these properties and are not liable for any injuries which might occur as a result. You may encounter conditions that pose a risk of injury, such as rough or wet walkways, steep stairs, low doorways, loose rugs or carpets or other potentially hazardous conditions. Tour guests agree to waive all claims against the Tour organizers, contractors, sponsors, volunteers and tour site owners arising from or related to participation and travel.
